Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Float Pool at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. This full-time position covers the ER, Observation, and Critical Care units with a day shift and a 11:00 AM–11:30 PM float schedule.

Candidates must have NJ RN licensure, BLS, and 2 years of ED/ICU experience; a BSN is preferred. CEN/CCRN certifications and EPIC EMR experience are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing and current BLS certification.
• 2 years of ED and/or ICU nursing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred; CEN and CCRN certifications are a plus.
• Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with sound clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding of next care steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to support continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve communication and transitions of care.
• Support a collaborative, teamwork-driven environment and pursue ongoing professional growth.
