Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking an HVAC Mechanic I to assist with maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems across the Charleston facility. You will support senior technicians in ensuring heating, cooling, and ventilation operate safely and efficiently while gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting and system diagnostics.

The position requires working 11pm–7am with on-call availability. OSHA safety standards, basic tools, and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment at Charleston

Qualifications

• 13 years of experience in HVAC service or maintenance.
• Proficiency in operation, diagnostics and programming of system controllers (e.g., Trane Tracer Summit).
• EPA 608 certification required; Universal preferred.
• Basic understanding of HVAC components and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation and maintenance of HVAC systems (air handlers, pumps, thermostats, ductwork).
• Perform routine filters, coil cleaning, lubrication, PM tasks.
• Assist diagnosis of mechanical/electrical HVAC issues under supervision.
• Record service data and report issues to supervisor.
