Job summary

LAUKOA seeks an HVAC Mechanic I to assist in maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems at the FLETC Charleston facility. You will support senior technicians while gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics.

Based in Charleston, this 100% on-site role requires 1–3 years of HVAC experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to work the 11pm–7am shift. OSHA standards and safety come first in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of HVAC service or maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with system controllers like Trane Tracer Summit.
• Certifications: NATE Core Service or HVAC Excellence or UA Star HVACR Mastery.
• EPA 608 Type I or II; Universal preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Perform routine filter changes, coil cleaning, and lubrication.
• Support diagnosis of HVAC issues under supervision.
• Record service data and report issues to lead.
