Job summary

LAUKOA seeks an HVAC Mechanic I to assist with maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems at the FLETC Charleston facility. You will support senior technicians, gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics.

This 100% on-site role in Charleston, SC requires 1–3 years of HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Night shift hours are 11pm–7am with on-call availability.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of HVAC service or maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose and program system controllers (e.g., Trane Tracer Summit).
• EPA 608 Type I or II Certification required; Universal preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and maintenance of HVAC systems in the Charleston facility.
• Perform routine filter changes, coil cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
• Support diagnosis of mechanical and electrical HVAC issues under supervision.
• Record service data and report issues to lead or supervisor.
