Job summary

Gulf Copper in Texas is seeking a Night Safety Coordinator to oversee site safety, perform inspections, manage permits, and ensure compliance with HSE policies on shipyard projects.

The role requires readiness to respond to incidents, maintain equipment, lead safety discussions, and coordinate with Operations and the HSE Manager to keep projects safe and compliant.

Open-air shipyard environment with PPE, training requirements, and a commitment to Gulf Copper's safety program.

Qualifications

• Two year Safety technician degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Shipyard Competent Person trained.
• First aid/CPR trained.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine inspections to identify hazards and regulatory non-compliance.
• Collaborates with Operations to resolve HSE issues and reports to the HSE Manager.
• Acts as HSE Representative on projects to ensure compliance with policies.
• Coordinates permits for all project work including painting.
• Maintains emergency equipment and conducts safety discussions at meetings.
• Leads incident investigations and maintains MSDS records.
• Maintains safety files, logs gas monitors, and completes site turnover.
• Participates in emergency response team activities.
