Job summary

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect guests, employees and property. You will apply security procedures, respond to incidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations to create a safe, welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities include incident reporting, patrols, access control, and collaboration with hotel departments to maintain security standards while supporting exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of security and safety experience.
• Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.
• Certification in safety and training and/or licensed as a Security Officer or Law Enforcement Officer may be required or highly desired.
• Working knowledge of local laws, investigation methods, OSHA requirements and fire codes and life safety codes.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Record incident reports to police, fire agencies, and to corporate legal, claims management, insurance, and outside attorneys as needed.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with hotel staff and corporate risk management and legal departments.
• Assist in training/educating employees on current safety issues to ensure compliance with loss control policies and safety regulations.
• Respond to guest incidents, investigate losses, and report findings to required authorities and hotel procedures.
• Perform daily security inspections, patrol assigned areas, monitor surveillance, and secure doors and belongings.
