Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Pacific Grove, CA seeks a hotel maintenance engineer responsible for maintaining all hotel systems, equipment and facilities. Duties include repairing, painting and ensuring preventive maintenance, with a shift that runs from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM Friday through Tuesday.

The role requires experience in hotel maintenance or similar environments, strong communication, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience as a hotel engineer or similar maintenance role.
• Ability to perform painting, electrical, plumbing and general repairs.
• Flexible schedule including overnights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all equipment, systems and building components (HVAC, pumps, plumbing, electrical, furniture, etc.).
• Repair, paint and maintain hotel areas; visually inspect machinery.
• Attend training and meetings; coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor on projects.
• Support front desk during breaks and assist with routine maintenance tasks as needed.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance (PMs).
