Hale County Hospital is seeking a Security Guard for safety of patients, visitors, staff and property. This PRN role supports hospital security operations and may help with patient registration during night shifts when staff are unavailable.

Responsibilities include patrolling, door checks, incident response, escorting patients, and maintaining HIPAA confidentiality. Shifts run 6:45PM-7:15AM in 12-hour blocks.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to function in stressful environments and emergencies.
• Strong customer service, communication, and de-escalation skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Lock all hospital entrances upon arrival and secure the building according to schedules.
• Conduct hourly rounds of doors, windows and restricted areas.
• Open and relock doors for authorized personnel.
• Maintain orderly traffic around the Emergency Department.
• Conduct regular rounds of the hospital, parking lots, and surrounding grounds.
• Remain visible and accessible while on duty.
• Respond promptly to disturbances, emergencies, or security incidents.
• Notify local law enforcement when necessary and assist with incident coordination.
• Assist with transporting patients admitted or discharged and escort patients with mobility needs.
• Escort staff to vehicles and report safety hazards or security vulnerabilities.
