Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an administrative liaison nurse to coordinate between staff, patients, physicians, families, other hospital departments, and outside agencies. This role supports patient flow and ensures timely notification of the administrator on call, Legal, and Risk Management when appropriate.

The position requires 3 years of recent nursing experience and current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

Qualifications

• 3 years recent nursing experience.
• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

Responsibilities

• Has authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the administrator on call, Legal Dept and/or Risk Management when appropriate.
• Serves as a resource person in dealing with complex or complicated patients. Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
• Facilitates patient flow, identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care, ensures resources are utilized appropriately and in a cost‑effective manner.
• Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures of the facility and with all regulatory requirements.
