Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform night-shift highway maintenance in the Austin, Texas area, specifically on IH35.

Tasks include debris removal, sign and guardrail repairs, and concrete work, with adherence to all regulations and company policies. The position offers a night schedule (7:30 PM to 4:00 AM), some day and weekend work, and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Maintain background/driving checks and comply with safety/testing procedures.
• Know and follow local driving rules and regulations.
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions.
• Maintain safety equipment for each job.
• Keep up with the latest technology and apps on a smartphone.
• Adjust to changing work schedule.
• Work safely under varying weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly and using hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform highway maintenance tasks in the Austin, TX area, specifically on IH35.
• Handle debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, and concrete work as needed.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Work the night shift 7:30 PM–4:00 AM, with some day and weekend work; on-call as required.
