Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Austin, Texas area, specifically on IH35.

You will address debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, and concrete work while following all regulations and company policies. Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of construction experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of construction labor experience (commercial, industrial, residential, roadway, heavy civil, warehouse, etc.)
• High School Diploma/GED
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance operations in Austin, Texas area, specifically on IH35.
• Complete tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair.
• Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and company policies.
