Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred in a hospital or physician office setting.
• Excellent organizational and human relations/communication skills required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy.
• Knowledge of commonly used office software and keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support department efficiency and communication.
• Processes patient admissions, bed assignments, face sheets, and patient labels.
• Maintains complete patient records with admissions, transfers, discharges, and progress notes; ensures forms are filed/scanned.
• Coordinates patient appointments and procedures; handles discharge planning.
• Maintains supplies and completes requisition forms; reconciles orders on delivery.
• Monitors and tracks use of electronic equipment (ID scanners, laptops); ensures asset accountability.
• Works under local supervision in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented environment.
