Job summary

FS Grain, LLC in Illinois is seeking a reliable elevator operator to manage grain handling, safety, and maintenance, including operating the grain drying system and monitoring storage quality.

Under the direction of the location manager, you will maintain equipment, ensure housekeeping, comply with OSHA and safety regulations, and provide professional customer service that supports efficient handling, on-call shifts, and occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or related agricultural experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn grain handling procedures.
• Experience with machinery maintenance and diagnosis is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use a computer to assist grain handling.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel overnight when required.
• Willingness to work extended hours and be on-call as needed.
• Physical ability to lift 51–70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming, stored, and outgoing grain while maintaining quality.
• Operate grain drying system and monitor equipment performance.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Provide professional customer service to ensure a positive experience.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and facilities.
