Job summary

Homewood Living Frederick is seeking a Night Shift Nursing Assistant to provide daily living activities and care under licensed supervision. The role involves lifting, feeding assistance, hygiene support, and adhering to care plans within a geriatric setting.

Qualifications include 30 lb lift capability, standing and mobility through an 8-hour shift, and English literacy. Must be listed on the state Nursing Assistant registry within 120 days. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and transfer 30 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn during an 8 hour shift.
• Organizational skills and ability to perform sequential tasks.
• Listed on state registry as Nursing Assistant within 120 days of employment.
• Motivation to work with geriatric persons.
• Ability to speak English at a level residents can understand.
• Ability to read and write English to carry out care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living care to residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and follow policies.
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks (bathing, grooming, nail care).
• Provide/arrange clean linen, make beds to meet resident needs.
• Assist with nutrition, serve meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform resident treatments as assigned within nursing scope.
• Record resident information concisely and report changes.
• Participate in resident care planning and care plan execution.
