Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a 3rd Shift Freight Handler at our Shepherdsville, KY distribution center. The role involves unloading trailers, organizing pallets, and preparing pallets for storage.

Starting pay is $19.60 per hour with a $1.00 second shift premium, plus two pay raises in the first year. The position requires working on a Sunday-Thursday schedule with Fridays as needed, and shifts run 9:45 PM to 5:45 AM.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• No experience required – training provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove pallets of product from trailers and break down for correct pallet configuration.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets.
• Ensure damaged product is accounted for and not received into inventory.
• Verify structural integrity of pallets during handling.
