Job summary

B&G Foods, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler for the 3rd shift at our Ankeny, IA plant. You will move materials, operate pallet jacks, and support packaging lines while following safety and cGMP guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Starting pay is $28.48 per hour with a $0.55 per hour shift differential, plus overtime as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Onsite training specific to job responsibilities.
Must obtain forklift certification.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Skill in basic math operations.

Responsibilities

Attaches case identifiers to materials and pallet information; moves finished product to staging area.
Operates material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Follows all safety regulations to prevent injuries.
Performs accurate records: production recording and data collection; direct issues components.
Performs changeovers and setup for production runs.
Counts, weighs, and records units moved daily.
Reads work orders to determine procedures and material needs.
Ensures materials on packaging lines are accurate and timely.
Uses palletizing equipment to move materials between locations.
