Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Floor Technician for the day shift in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet, including stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting across offices, classrooms, lobbies, and residence areas.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of floor cleaning experience, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of OSHA/MSDS guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years in floor cleaning or related work.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English.
• Familiar with janitorial products and green cleaning agents.
• Knowledge of operating floor machines and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors on hard surfaces and carpets.
• Perform mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing.
• Log daily/monthly tasks and reports.
• Assist with training new team members on floor care procedures.
• Perform other cleaning duties as assigned by supervisor.
