Job summary

The University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Acute Care/Med-Surg Resource Team (Float Pool). This 90% FTE position offers 36 hours per week with straight nights or day/night rotations, supporting a range of medical-surgical units including transplant, oncology, and cardiology.

As a Resource Team RN you will triage priorities, provide acute patient care across units, follow evidence-based practices, and administer medications and IVs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of current/recent acute care med-surg nursing experience.
• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington.
• Active BLS certification.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute patient care across a broad spectrum of hospital units.
• Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with the nursing team and providers.
• Follow evidence-based nursing practices.
• Monitor and administer medications and IVs.
