Job summary

Torus, based in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a Swing Shift Facilities Maintenance Technician to serve as the backbone of our night operations. You will independently troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery, conveyors, pneumatics, and HVAC, while coordinating with night contractors to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance including drywall patching, framing, painting, carpentry, and interior finishes.
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting facility air compressors, pneumatic drop lines, and high-pressure utility piping.
• Practical experience assembling, aligning, and repairing mechanical conveyor systems.
• Basic-to-intermediate understanding of HVAC operation and minor electrical work (wiring fixtures, switches).
• Ability to monitor external service providers on site during swing shift hours.
• Ability to construct, assemble, and organize rack storage and inventory layouts.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently complete daily task lists and priority facilities assignments handed off by the day-shift Facilities Lead.
• Perform high-quality interior finishes, drywall patching, framing, painting, door/hardware repair, and related maintenance.
• Oversee exterior facility care, signage, access points, and general aesthetics during swing shift hours.
• Maintain inventory and optimize material storage systems to maximize space utilization.
• Install, repair, and maintain facility air compressors, pneumatic piping, and high-pressure lines.
• Assemble, repair, and maintain conveyor systems to support internal material flow.
• Perform routine HVAC maintenance and basic electrical fixes (lighting, outlets, switches).
• Identify and resolve facility issues during night operations and coordinate with night contractors.
• Maintain 5S and organized maintenance shops and storage bays.
