Job summary

Torus Inc. in Salt Lake City is seeking a Swing Shift Maintenance Machine Technician to lead hands-on repair, alignment, PMs, and capital improvements for advanced manufacturing equipment including CNCs, lasers, waterjets, and presses.

The role reports to the Director of HSE & Facilities and requires 5+ years of industrial electrical and mechanical experience, strong diagnostic skills, and leadership to mentor junior technicians. Shift differential applies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial electrical systems (HV/LV), PLCs, and motor controls.
• Extensive troubleshooting on CNC machines, lasers, waterjets, and industrial presses.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, ladder logic, and technical docs.
• Experience with CMMS and LMS/spreadsheet tools.
• Knowledge of LOTO protocols.
• Strong math, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection, servicing, setup, and repair of facility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and PM scheduling.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
• Coordinate with Tech B/C to minimize downtime during outages.
• Lead capital improvement projects from concept to sign-off.
• Maintain 5S standards and records in CMMS/LMS.
