Job summary

The Yorkville CUSD #115 seeks a Mid Shift Custodian to maintain the cleanliness of district buildings, stock supplies, and ensure equipment is functional for the next shift.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, windows, and surfaces, applying safety practices, reporting maintenance needs, and helping prepare facilities for summer tasks. Candidates must meet basic educational requirements and hold a valid Illinois driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong safety practices and ability to follow procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication for reports and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned facilities and grounds to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Disinfect surfaces and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Monitor safety of students and staff in work areas.
• Perform minor maintenance on custodial equipment and fixtures.
• Secure the building and ensure doors/windows are latched.
• Wears PPE and follows safety protocols for all tasks.
