Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking a dedicated RN for the Emergency Department. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients across all ages, coordinating with ED staff and physicians to ensure timely and quality care.

The unit treats various acuities, including stroke and STEMI cases, with a focus on safe patient flow. The position offers part-time night shifts (2 x 12 hours per week) with a sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• RN license in Georgia (NLC/eNLC accepted)
• BLS certification is required
• ACLS/PALS certifications may be required depending on unit addendum

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments across the lifespan.
• Organizes data into a care plan and determines outcomes.
• Carries out the care plan to achieve outcomes.
• Oversees activities of ancillary staff.
• Identifies teaching opportunities for patients and families.
• Documents care in the patient record.
• Communicates issues to Charge Nurse/Manager/Physician
