Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a full-time night shift EMT or AEMT to join the EMS Transport team across Lexington, Hamburg, and Georgetown, KY. This role focuses on rapid patient assessments, compassionate transport, and effective handovers to receiving facilities.

The position requires EMT-Basic and AEMT certifications, a valid driver's license, and strong teamwork to manage lifting and stability during transport; benefits include paid time off and retirement plans.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
EMT-Basic Certification by KY Board of EMS required.
Kentucky EMT-Advanced Certification for AEMT required.
BLS for Healthcare Provider AHA/ARC required.
Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify injuries, illnesses, or medical emergencies.
Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families during transport.
Monitor vital signs and adjust treatment to ensure stability and comfort.
Safely lift and move patients during transport, often with team assistance.
Transport patients to medical facilities and handover to receiving personnel.
Maintain accurate records and complete PCRs in a timely manner.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Ensure EMS equipment and vehicles are stocked, maintained, and ready for operations.
