Baptist Health is seeking a full-time, night shift EMT or AEMT to join our EMS Transport team serving Lexington/Hamburg/Georgetown, KY. This role involves patient assessments, compassionate care, vital signs monitoring, and safe transport during overnight shifts.

Responsibilities include detailed documentation, inter-facility handovers, and collaboration with healthcare teams. A high school diploma, Kentucky EMT-B/AEMT certifications, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) certification by Kentucky Board of EMS.
• Kentucky EMT-Advanced (AEMT) certification.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsabilités

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify injuries, illnesses or emergencies.
• Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families during transport.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust treatment to ensure stability and comfort.
• Assist with lifting and moving patients, including team lifting over 250 lbs.
• Safely transport patients to medical facilities using EMS vehicles.
• Communicate detailed handover to receiving staff and document patient history.
• Maintain accurate PCRs and transport records in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform routine EMS vehicle checks and report deficiencies.
