Job summary

Armor Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic to join our team at Cobb County Jail in Marietta, GA. You will perform initial assessments and provide direct patient care within a correctional facility environment, adhering to protocol and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds EMT/Paramedic licensure, has at least two years of EMT experience, and is committed to delivering high-quality care in a challenging but rewarding setting.

Qualifications

• State licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic.
• Two years’ experience as an Emergency Medical Technician.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment and management of illness or injury in accordance with specified protocol and procedure to patients entering a correctional facility.
• Provides direct paramedical and comprehensive patient care, as required in each individual case.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Administers appropriate emergency medical care including life support procedures, decontamination protocols, fluid/drug administration, obtaining EKG readings, and vital statistic monitoring.
