Job summary

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment and management of illness or injury in a correctional facility.
• Provides direct paramedical and comprehensive patient care.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Administers appropriate emergency medical care including life support procedures, decontamination protocols, fluid/drug administration, obtaining EKG readings, and vital statistic monitoring.
