Job summary

ST. CHARLES HEALTH SYSTEM is seeking an ED Technician to support the Emergency Department with high-quality patient care. The role involves assisting RNs, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting 24/7 coverage across system hospitals, including Bend and Redmond.

Required is a high school diploma or GED; BLS certification is preferred; EMT/CNA/MA/Paramedic training is a plus, with 1 year of direct patient care experience being ideal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; willingness to take additional courses.
• Preferred EMT/CNA/MA/Paramedic training or RN student status.
• 1 year of direct patient care experience or RN student first quarter/semester.

Responsibilities

• Recognize, report, and record observations and care provided.
• Act as unlicensed assistive care provider under RN direction.
• Perform tasks delegated by Registered Nurse with demonstrated competency.
• Provide patient hygiene as needed.
• Stock unit, transport patients, and help keep the unit clean.
