Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Night Shift Technician for on-site work in Swedesboro, NJ. The role focuses on maintenance, repair, and improvement of electrical and control systems in food manufacturing, covering hardware and software aspects to ensure efficient production.

The ideal candidate has an AS/AAS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience, with familiarity in Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software.

Qualifications

• AS/AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• High school or military training with practical field experience in machine and electrical control systems.
• Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control system design documentation.
• Knowledge of machine layout, control drawings, P&ID and basic troubleshooting for major brands.
• Ability to perform basic and advanced mathematical calculations and unit conversions.
• Capable of completing forms detailing maintenance work and reading work orders/manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current documentation for electrical and control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical or control issues with Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics.
• Provide training and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across shifts.
• Occasionally support offsite equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain equipment per production schedule and perform inspections safely.
• Complete preventive, corrective, or scheduled maintenance within GMP and safety standards.
• Restore production promptly after faults with or without a mechanic.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, GMP and quality controls.
• Keep accurate records per work orders and job systems.
• Travel for parts procurement, training, or additional duties as needed.
