Job summary

Summa Health Akron City Campus is seeking a Part-Time EKG Technician for 24 hours across 3 night shifts (11p-7:30a). You will perform and document 12-lead EKGs, respond to TEAMS and other emergency calls, and support trauma and stroke teams with timely heart monitoring.

The role requires basic computer skills, English literacy, and BLS certification within 6 months of hire. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Prior EKG experience or training.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to read/write English and follow instructions.
• Physically able to stand, lift light materials, and move patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents 12-lead EKG tests and rhythm strip analyses.
• Responds to TEAMS, SURGICAL TEAMS, and other emergency calls to perform EKGs.
• Performs EKGs during Trauma Teams, Stroke Teams, Code STEMIs and STAT procedures.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and demonstrates professional behavior.
