Job summary

People Inc. is seeking a Nights Editor for EW to oversee after-hours entertainment news operations. You will lead a team, assign and edit stories, and focus on the biggest and most important entertainment stories of the day.

Expect to manage a high volume of content and make independent editorial decisions during off-hours. The role demands excellent news judgment, editing and communication skills, and deep knowledge of entertainment and pop culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience, with at least 2 years in an editing role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, edit, and assign breaking entertainment news stories and other features; prioritize coverage and pivot as news develops.
• Manage and provide feedback to writers.
• Deliver great entertainment reporting and write stories when needed.
