Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for Mount Carmel St. Ann's in Westerville, Ohio. The role supports patient care in a fast-paced ED during a 12-hour night shift, 7pm–7:30am with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, and patient transport. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS certification; prior patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalency.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS certification, basic patient care skills, ECG and phlebotomy training.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient needs in a timely manner.
• Transportation and patient escort.
• Performs phlebotomy and collects lab specimens.
• Performs EKG and wound care as appropriate.
• Supports trauma, stroke, heart and sepsis alerts and resuscitation.
• Reports changes in patient condition to RN/physician.
