Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to obtain proof of vaccinations as required by specific site.
• Typing speed 45+ WPM.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts to support providers.
• Enter patient room with the physician during visits to capture and transcribe documentation in the EMR.
• Update all components of the patient’s medical record per physician direction.
• Update subjective and objective information, physical exam, and other pertinent clinical data.
• Prepare and send documentation to the physician for review and approval via data entry and site procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to monitor basic lab results and screenings.
• Monitor lab test durations and perform follow-ups as needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation in patient records.
• Support compliance with hospital and ProScribe policies, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards.
• Adhere to site policies and ProScribe attendance guidelines; adjust as needed per provider preferences and EMR specifics.
• Perform other clerical duties to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow.
