Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC is seeking a Night ED/ICU Pharmacist to oversee safe, accurate medication review, preparation, and dispensing for adult and pediatric emergency and critical care areas during overnight operations. This role is based in the ED with a 7 on/7 off schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; MD pharmacist license required.
• Residency or certification preferred.
• 1–2 years clinical hospital pharmacy experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees safe medication administration and supports clinical staff.
• Dispenses medications ensuring accuracy and safety per policy.
• monitors for adverse drug events and reports as required.
