Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Plant Operator (Night) in Hopewell, VA to reliably load and package dry ice products while maintaining quality and safety standards. The role requires basic math skills, ability to perform unit conversions, and accurate record-keeping of production data.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts or pallet jacks, inspecting finished products for weight and density, and ensuring clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, commissions, proportions, and percent.
• One year of production/manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and package dry ice products into containers according to customer orders.
• Inspect finished products for weight, density and packaging integrity.
• Operate production machinery and material handling equipment safely.
• Accurately log production numbers, shipping manifests and inventory usage.
