Job Overview

Job Position: Night Dispatcher

Location: Jerome, Idaho

Employment Type: Full-time

Business: Transportation Company

Schedules: 4-on 4-off / 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery schedules based on truck capacity, cost-efficient routing, and loading/unloading time
• Build and maintain relationships and contact with drivers
• Schedule pick-up and delivery appointments
• Track loads
• Communicate and maintain relationships with customers
• A Dispatcher is responsible for using routing software to establish daily trucking routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day. Adjust to last-minute changes, and discuss any special handling issues with customers and drivers.

Qualifications

• Dispatching and customer service experience. Minimum 2 years
• McLeod software experience a plus
• Knowledge of DOT regulations
