Job summary

Cadient, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional at Hoyt residence in Port Ewen, NY, a home for six residents. You will provide support and skills training to people with developmental disabilities in a residential setting and in the community.

Shifts include 9:00 pm–9:00 am Fri/Sat/Sun; starting pay $18.56–$20.42 per hour with shift differentials. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with post-secondary Human Services education a plus, and a NY driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus.
• NYS driver license is a must; basic computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
• Engage residents in crafts, shopping, outings, and social activities.
• Assist with daily living tasks and community outings (movies, restaurants).
• Support staff with behavior guidance and enrichment activities.
• Complete required trainings including First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration.
