Job summary

Staples Supply Chain in Houston is seeking a Delivery Operations Supervisor to lead a team ensuring timely and accurate order deliveries.

You will plan staffing, monitor productivity, coach drivers, and partner with senior management to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals while upholding safety standards. Occasional truck driving may be required.

Strong communication, analytical thinking, and a safety-first mindset are essential to drive continuous improvements and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of transportation experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• DOT physical and drug screen required where legally permissible.
• Must obtain a 6-month DOT medical card specific to the role.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds by hand.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery operations team to ensure on-time orders.
• Plan staffing and adjust headcount to meet objectives.
• Partner with senior management to achieve productivity and budget goals.
• Hire, train, and coach associates.
• Use operational reports to evaluate department performance.
• Uphold safety culture and practices.
• Occasionally drive Staples trucks as needed.
