Job summary

Idaho Milk Products, Inc. is seeking a skilled Production Lead for our milk processing plant in Idaho. You will oversee daily production operations, ensure targets and quality standards are met, and lead the production team with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role reports to the Production Supervisor and emphasizes workflow optimization, coaching, and continuous improvement. A strong background in dairy production and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Dairy science, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee sanitation activities to ensure equipment cleanliness and periodic cleaning.
• Ensure adherence to internal and regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards.
• Use SPC tools to monitor and adjust operating parameters.
• Complete corrective actions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide motivational leadership and clear direction to the team.
• Implement corrections to SOPs, SSOPs, and the Sanitation Program.
• Deliver accurate inventory data to Logistics and maintain stock control.
• Uphold safety SOPs and OSHA-compliant practices.
• Coach and develop staff to improve performance and relations.
• Foster a team-oriented culture and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead shift pass down and plant meetings to communicate progress and goals.
• Ensure adequate training and resources for each role.
