Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Valdosta, GA seeks a Control Room Operator for a dairy manufacturing plant. Shifts are Fri-Sun, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, and the role is full-time. You will oversee HTST operations and production scheduling, and use HMIs to monitor processes.

The position emphasizes safety, equipment operation, and adherence to PMO and food safety plans. Candidates should be ready to maintain clean work areas and collaborate with managers and teams.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or production environment.
• Working with hazard analysis and critical control poings (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Schedule processing and production of product.
• Ensures processing areas are clean before and after use.
• Monitors and operates the HTST system according to PMO standards including the daily use of computers and HMI systems.
• Responsible for monitoring and adjusting milk unloading schedules as necessary.
• Coordinates CIP systems according to PMO and food safety plans.
• Responsible for the coordination of chocolate batching.
• Identifies process issues and/or deviations and escalates to management as necessary.
• Adheres to all company safety procedures and guidelines.
• Uses personal protective equipment.
• Operates machinery and equipment safely.
• Reports any hazards, near misses, injuries or accidents immediately.
• Actively participates in safety trainings and drills.
• Maintains cleanliness in work areas to prevent accidents.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of all safety protocols.
• Demonstrates awareness of surroundings to ensure own safety and the safety of others.
