Job summary

San Marcos CISD is seeking a full-time custodian to perform daily cleaning and maintenance across district facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas to ensure a healthy and safe learning environment.

You will follow safety protocols, operate basic building systems, and report hazards promptly. The role requires reliability, willingness to train, and adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment.
• Knowledge of minor repairs and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness to ensure health and safety of students and staff.
• Efficiently clean assigned areas within the time; duties include floors, walls, restrooms, and common areas.
• Follow locking, security, and safety procedures for facilities.
• Operate and monitor heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems as required.
• Report safety hazards or emergencies to supervisor promptly.
• Assist with maintaining supplies and equipment in your area.
• Attend training sessions and implement procedures taught.
