Job summary

Spring ISD is seeking a Night Lock-Up Custodian at Hoyland Elementary School in Houston to maintain classrooms, offices, halls and common areas, and to secure the building after hours.

The role requires clear English communication, a minimum of one year in custodial work, and preferred experience of three+ years; duties include cleaning, setup for events, and daily locking procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English
• 1 yr job related experience
• Preferred: three+ years experience in custodial services
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment
• Basic computer knowledge

Responsibilities

• Clean floors by vacuuming, sweeping or mopping
• Dust vents, ledges, shelves and horizontal surfaces
• Disinfect restroom sinks, urinals, toilets, fixtures, partitions, showers and floors
• Polish all chrome
• Disinfect public phones and water fountains
• Lock-up facilities as required and set security alarm
• Perform all other duties as assigned
