Job summary

Indiana University Housing Operations on IU Bloomington campus seeks a Facilities/Custodial Supervisor to lead custodial and moving/setup teams, ensuring safety and smooth operations across residential buildings.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of leadership, a valid driver's license, and safety certifications. You will supervise crews, train staff, and coordinate events with campus partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of work experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to be insured.
• Maintain safety certifications (First Aid, CPR, BBP, AED, etc.).
• Ability to operate cleaning and moving equipment; computer use.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, assigns, and monitors work of custodial workers and/or moving and setup workers.
• Takes inventory of supplies and places orders to maintain stock levels.
• Serves as on-site trainer to explain work procedures and demonstrate equipment care.
• Acts as project leader for routine and non-routine work and reviews work orders.
• Guides moving/setup crews for conferences, meetings, and events.
• Arranges tables, chairs, and furniture; sets up PA systems and related gear.
• Relieves custodial workers when needed and performs custodial duties.
• Operates a van to transport mobile crews to building sites.
