Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time night shift. You will deliver high-quality CT imaging and patient-centered care in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, administering contrast, maintaining safety standards, and documenting studies in the RIS/PACS system. A minimum of 1 year radiology experience and ARRT certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology is required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification is required.
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to minimize radiation dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding, and document accurately in RIS/PACS.
