Job summary

Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is seeking a CT Technologist for night shift at our Belton, TX imaging department. The role involves performing CT scans with attention to imaging parameters, patient care, and safety protocols.

Ideal candidates will have ARRT CT registry, DSHS MRT license, and BLS certification. Prior CT experience is preferred. This on-site position supports the hospital's radiology services and patient-centered care approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of required education to obtain ARRT registry.
• Licensed by the DSHS in Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Explain CT procedure to the patient and/or family member in a thorough and professional manner.
• Perform CT procedures with appropriate imaging parameters (MAS, KVP, positioning, etc.).
• Ascertain patient care is provided in a personalized, professional and quality manner.
• Provide minimal nursing care to patient and seek additional nursing or physician assistance when necessary.
• Transport patients to and from Imaging Services ensuring safe relocation.
• Perform quality control on equipment and notify management of any potential malfunction or hazard.
• Maintain CT procedure rooms and work area in a clean and organized manner.
• Maintain effective communication with medical, nursing, and administrative staff.
• Adhere to ALARA radiation safety principles.
• Enter and retrieve patient information in PACS and HIS proficiently.
• Ensure Joint Commission, local, state and federal requirements are met.
• Prepare and maintain department paperwork for accuracy.
