Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Belton, TX is seeking a night shift, full-time CT Technologist for the Salado Freestanding Emergency Department. You will perform CT procedures with professional patient interaction and ensure imaging quality.

Work with radiology and nursing staff to provide safe, accurate imaging, maintain equipment, and document procedures while following ALARA and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of required education to obtain registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Licensed by the Department of State Health Services Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Explain CT procedure to the patient and/or family member in a thorough and professional manner.
• Perform CT procedures ensuring appropriate imaging parameters (MAS, KVP, positioning).
• Ascertain delivery of patient care in a personalized, professional, quality manner.
• Provide minimal nursing care to patient and seek additional nursing or physician assistance when necessary.
• Transport patients to and from Imaging Services safely.
• Perform quality control on equipment and notify management of potential malfunctions or hazards.
• Maintain CT procedure rooms and work area in a clean and organized manner.
• Adhere to radiation safety and ALARA principles.
• Enter and retrieve patient information from PACS/HIS.
• Ensure Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements are met.
• Prepare and maintain department paperwork, verifying accuracy.
