Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a dependable driver to transport blood products and materials, following a set route or on an as-needed basis. You will verify orders, load, and deliver, while maintaining inventory and providing excellent service to internal and external customers.

The role emphasizes safety, timely delivery, and positive interactions with teams and clients. High school or equivalent, valid license, and willingness to work overnight shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record required.
• Previous experience with a messenger service or trucking preferred.
• Ability to drive for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle for delivery of blood products and materials safely.
• Verify orders, load vehicles, and maintain route inventory for prompt delivery.
• Document storage and transport of blood and materials per regulations.
• Provide customer service with positive, proactive interactions.
• Keep the vehicle clean and monitor fluid levels; perform shipping/receiving tasks.
