Job summary

American Red Cross seeks a customer-focused delivery driver to pick up, deliver, and store blood products and lightweight materials on an assigned route or as needed. You will support Blood Services with loading duties and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to drive long periods, and a willingness to work a 3rd shift Tuesday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver\'s license with clean DMV record.
• Experience with messenger service, courier, or trucking preferred.
• Ability to drive for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle for delivery of blood products and materials safely and within traffic laws.
• Prepare for deliveries by verifying orders, loading vehicles, and maintaining route inventory.
• Document transportation and storage of blood, blood products, and materials per regulatory requirements.
• Provide customer service with positive, proactive approach to employees and customers.
• Maintain vehicle condition, cleanliness, and perform basic safety checks.
• Provide shipping and receiving support as directed.
