Job summary

Rite of Passage is hiring an Overnight Youth Care Worker (Coach Counselor) for the Columbus Youth Academy. This 12-hour shift role provides 24-hour supervision, safety, and mentorship for male youth up to age 19 in a residential setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring behaviors, documenting progress, and guiding youth during sports and recreation. Candidates need a HS diploma/GED, a valid license, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience with at-risk youth in a direct care role or 60 college credits.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour supervision and safety for youth.
• Monitor and document youth behaviors and progress.
• Lead and participate in sports and recreation activities with youth.
• Mentor and support youth as they learn and develop within the program.

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for an Overnight Coach Counselor for the Columbus Youth Academy.

Columbus Youth Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth up to age 19. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based sex offender services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while in the program.

Pay : $19.00 / Hr

What you will do: As a Youth Care Worker (Coach Counselor), you will provide 24-hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of our Youth. You will monitor and document behaviors, monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time, and assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.

To be considered you should:

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Have one-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education
• Possess a valid Driver's License
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening and TB Test.

Schedule: Our Youth Care Workers work 12-hour shifts.
