Job summary

ST. CHARLES HEALTH SYSTEM is seeking a Graduate Nursing Assistant to support 24/7 patient care across varying units. The role requires completion of an accredited CNA program and enrollment for OSBN certification within specified timelines.

The GA will work under RN supervision, provide direct patient care, maintain safety, and assist with discharge planning while upholding the organization’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited CNA course.
• Must register for CNA certification exam within 14 days of course completion.
• Must become a Certified Nursing Assistant with OSBN within 120 days of course completion.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Recognize, report and record observations and care.
• Function as an unlicensed assistive care provider under RN supervision.
• Respond to call lights and monitor patient safety.
• Assist with patient hygiene and unit upkeep.
• Document patient care in accordance with hospital policies.
