Job summary

Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care during night shifts. The role includes assistance with daily living activities, vital signs, and documentation, under RN supervision. Part-time, 24 hours weekly, with shift incentives for evenings and weekends.

The NA will support dining, mobility, and basic health care tasks while maintaining infection prevention and safety policies. CNA certification and valid state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining certification.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Yearly competency testing and continuing education credits required (12 hours annually).
• May require UAP Registry certification where applicable.
• Driver’s license may be required under Sanford Driving Policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Take and record vital signs; observe and report changes to RN.
• Assist with meals and dining; support feeding and hydration.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Assist with wellness and recreational programs; participate in committees if needed.
